Dave Portnoy Giving Money to Ocean View, NJ Animal Rescue

Barstool Sports founder, Dave Portnoy, has been assisting animal shelters across the county to try to help spread the word to adopt and rescue more dogs.

His generosity reached the Jersey Shore, where Portnoy connected with a local shelter in the Ocean View section of Upper Township, Beacon Animal Rescue You will receive funds to help with this cause.

Beacon was dealing with a faulty septic system, which prevented them from bringing in any new dogs or cats. Repairing the sewer system would completely exhaust Beacon’s funds, costing more than $30,000 to fix it, per a press release sent out by Beacon.

Portnoy adopted his dog, “Miss Peaches,” from the LifeLine Animal Project and has since made it his mission to help other animal shelters in need. Since rescuing Miss Peaches, Portnoy has helped raise more than $500,000 Create a line of merchandise With proceeds going to shelters.

“We are happy to help you and get you back into the kennel.”

Schoeffler said she wrote an email to Portnoy asking for help to fix the sewer system.

“I decided to write a letter to Dave on behalf of Beacon explaining the fix we needed, and I thought asking for a donation of any amount was worth a try. “The worst he could say is no,” Schauffler said. “I had no idea if he would be interested in donating to Beacon.” “But I knew I had nothing to lose if I called him.”
