the Orlando Magic And Cleveland Cavaliers They saved us. From what you may ask? From Round 1 without a single game 7. All other series in Round 1 ended in a winner-take-all no-contest, but the Magic and Cavs go the distance.

Both teams are trying to reach the second round of the playoffs for the first time in a few years. The Cavaliers haven’t reached the second round since 2017-18. But the Magic haven’t reached the second round since the 2009-10 season, and have been eliminated in the first round four times since then.

The Magic have a taller mountain to climb today than the Cavs. They’re playing the Cavaliers in Cleveland, and the home teams have an advantage not just overall, but in this series specifically: all six games in this series have been played by the home team.

Can the Magic beat the Cavs at home for the first time in this series? Can the Cavaliers beat a young, hungry Magic team? Follow along here for all the action from Game 7.

  • Paolo Panchero alerts everyone.

  • After a long stretch of success for the Magic, some back-to-back calls have come in the Cavaliers’ favor. Cleveland has a lot of ground to make up to put itself in good position to start the third quarter, but the crowd is back at it, which should help.

  • Cleveland is shooting 22% so far (0 of 8 from 3). The big reason why Orlando opened up a huge lead early in the second quarter. Banchero’s hot start is another reason.

  • Paolo Banchero makes a 3-pointer to increase the Magic’s lead. They look very comfortable despite being the visiting team.

  • Nashville’s ABC affiliate seems to be a bigger fan of ocean shows than NBA basketball.

  • The Magic is out there hitting some big 3-pointers right now. They’re 4-for-7 while the Cavaliers haven’t drained a single one in two attempts.

  • The Cavs are not starting well. Jarrett Allen will be sidelined with a rib injury.

  • Welcome to the first and only Game 7 of the NBA playoffs to date. The Magic and Cavs treated us to a winner-take-all contest on Sunday afternoon, and you can follow all the action here.

Cavs head coach J.B. Bickerstaff started his day with the angry, awe-inspiring energy you can only get from an NBA coach before Game 7.
