The Steamboat Springs girls lacrosse team made it 15th in the 4A state championship classification. The team will host No. 18 Durango starting at 5:30 PM at Gardner Field on Wednesday night.

The Steamboat girls hold a 6-2 record at home this season while Durango sits at 3-3 as an outdoor team. The winner of the game will advance to play No. 2 Evergreen on the road on Friday.

Adding to the Wednesday night schedule is the first round of the girls soccer playoffs, with No. 30 Steamboat Springs traveling for a matchup against No. 3 Windsor at 6 p.m.

At 11-3-1 in the regular season, Windsor will be a tough opponent, but the Mariners hold a goal-per-game advantage of 2.8 to 2.5.

Thursday
Golf balls will be flying at Steamboat Golf Club Thursday morning for the girls golf team’s local tournament.

The girls have shown promising performances throughout the season, with Katherine Larocque, the team’s only female member, earning several top-five finishes. The tour starts at 10 am

On the court, four lines from the Steamboat girls’ tennis team will begin the three-day state championship tournament at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs.

The Sailors are led by seniors Evan Quinn and Kelsey Norland who became regional champions at No. 1 doubles last week. Joining them as fellow regional champion was sophomore Lucia Del Haia at No. 1 in singles.
