A video of an unidentified mysterious animal walking into Rashtrapati Bhavan during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s grand swearing-in ceremony has gone viral on social media.

The viral footage, which was recorded at the time when BJP MP Durga Das Oike was receiving President Draupadi Murmu after completing the oath formalities, shows a cat-like animal walking in the background.

A cat has been identified as the source behind the ‘tiger rumour’ by Rashtrapati Bhawan security. according to News18 The sources confirmed that the authorities in the nearby area confirmed the presence of a cat. The shadow and play of light created the illusion of a much larger size.

Meanwhile, various theories have emerged on social media regarding the animal’s identity. Some users expect it to be a tiger, while others think it may be a security dog ​​or pet. The video depicting the animal has been widely shared alongside these various theories.

Modi’s swearing-in ceremony

President Draupadi Murmu on Sunday administered the oath of secrecy and office to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 30 ministers, five independently commissioned secretaries of state and 36 secretaries of state. The portfolios of the new ministers were not announced until late tonight.

The event was attended by 8,000 guests including foreign heads of state and other dignitaries, industrialists and movie stars.


Narendra Modi was sworn in as Prime Minister for a record-equalling third term, heading a 72-member Union Cabinet that emphasized continuity, youth and experience while also rewarding partners in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.

Besides Modi, senior BJP leaders, including Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman and S Jaishankar, all ministers in the Modi 2.0 government, took oath as cabinet ministers at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
